Jaymo, the kind hearted Hippo
Published June 13th, 2008 in amigurumi dolls, amigurumi patterns. This project has been put on hold.. forever! (You will be hearing me say this same sentence in the next 2-3 designs)
The last time I met up with Janis to deliver some of her orders (no, I don’t usually meet up to deliver orders, I was meeting her for other matters too), she requested for 3 designs, and I haven’t got time to roll out any of them.
I have sketched out Jaymo and another design, but the 3rd design is really quite challenging, so I am going to do that a little later.
I am rolling out Jaymo today because it’s the last day of the week, and I have just completed the pile of orders. I am going to need to work on another few orders totaling to a sweet 9 units.. @_@
Jaymo is about 6.5cm (2.56″) tall, you will never believe that when I was making the head, I sought another crafter’s opinion, and she is none other than Cindy of StarryDesigns. Cindy doesn’t crochet, so why ask her? I realized that most of the times, those people who do not crochet may provide a more objective opinion since there is no consideration of the stitches, the difficulty level etc. Besides, between dad and Cindy (who were the only souls available at the point of design), I definitely would get Cindy’s advice!
